Mid-week TV Preview March 31 - April 3
Monday 31 March
19.45 Forest Green v Burton Albion, Blue Square Premier, Setanta Sports 1
Forest Green need to win to keep any real hope of reaching the play-offs. Burton could go second if they win.
Tuesday 1 April
19.45 Roma v Manchester Utd, UEFA Champions League Quarter-final 1st Leg, ITV1
United will be happy with a draw, as long as they score.
19.45 Schalke v Barcelona, UEFA Champions League Quarter-final 1st Leg, ITV4
For those not au fait with German football, Schalke could win this game 4-0 and still not qualify. This could well be the game of the round as both teams have leaky defences.
Wednesday 2 April
19.45 Arsenal v Liverpool, UEFA Champions League Quarter-final 1st Leg, Sky Sports 2 & HD2
The first of three meetings in seven days for these clubs. This will be hopelessly dire.
19.45 Fenerbahce v Chelsea, UEFA Champions League Quarter-final 1st Leg, Sky Sports 3
Anyone unfortunate enough to witness Chelsea's away tie against Olympiakos, in the previous round, will know exactly what to expect from this game. Avoid at all costs.
Thursday 3 April
01.50 Fluminese v Libertad, Copa Libertadores, Setanta Sports 2
Fluminese won their last Libertadores home game 6-0, expect more of the same against the pointless Paraguayans. Perfect for insomniacs who like one-sided games.
17.30 Bayer Leverkusen v FC Zenit St Petersburg, UEFA Cup Quarter-final 1st Leg, ITV4
Finally a chance to see half decent teams play each other in the UEFA Cup.
19.45 Rangers v Sporting, UEFA Cup Quarter-final 1st Leg, ITV4 and STV
This could be very entertaining, if Rangers are to progress you just know they won't do it the easy way.
20.00 Aldershot v Rushden & Diamonds, Setanta Shield Final, Setanta Sports 1
Aldershot are cruising the League, while Rushden have had a decidedly ordinary season. They should put on a decent display to keep the sponsors happy.
