Loveys’ 2.Bundesliga Betting Preview – Matchday 29

Tom Loveys is back with some more betting selections for the German Second Division. Follow Tom on Twitter here.

With some great profits delivered last week, having correctly predicted 6/9 results, with a profit of 9.8 points and virtually a 10/1 ‘Best Bets’ treble being landed. Things have taken a massive up-turn as we head towards the final few games of the 2.Bundesliga season.

With Hertha’s emphatic 3-0 success over Braunschweig, they are now 1/7 to lift the title with Braunschweig best-priced at 9/2. Kaiserslautern remain in 3rd with a decisive victory over promotion rivals FC Koln. At the other end of the table, it remains bleak for Regensburg and Sandhausen whilst Bochum fans will be getting increasingly worried now sitting in 16th after a shocking 3-0 home loss to Aue.

Below are the odds for Match-Day 29,

Best Bets:

Union to beat Dresden @ 11/10

Union are another side who seem to produce a different performance each week. A lavish 4-2 home victory against St.Pauli was only followed up with mediocre performances away, losing to Frankfurt and drawing with Paderborn. At home they seem a different proposition; having won 8 of their 14 games played and will fancy their chances against a battling Dresden side who are fighting for their lives in 15th place.

Cottbus to beat Bochum @ 11/10

Cottbus are strong at home and seem to have overcome their recent wobble, still sitting in 7th place. At odds against at home, they look a value bet to beat a poor Bochum side who have lost 4 of their last 6 games, the most recent being a decisive 3-0 home defeat to Aue.

Paderborn to score more goals in the 2nd half @ 16/11

I like the look of these markets, specialising in different opportunities than the usual fare each week. Paderborn have played 14 games at home this season, having scored more goals in the 2nd half in 11 of these. The 16/11 price looks great value as chances will be aplenty against the bottom of the table side.

Below are selections in each of the 9 games this weekend. As ever each prediction is offered at Evens or above.
