Mid-week TV Preview March 25-27

Tuesday 19:45 York City v Northwich Victoria, Blue Square Premier, Setanta Sports 1
Northwich are making a timely fist of their survival push and will be buoyed by their 3-0 beating over Farsley Celtic. York are going nowhere. Vic to extend their unbeaten run.

19:45 England v Poland, U21 International, Sky Sports 1
Friendly game against perennial opponents.

Wednesday
17:30 Scotland v Finland, U21 International, Sky Sports 1
The home side will be hoping some of that Pittodrie magic rubs off on them. They'll certainly need something against the group leaders.

19:15 Luxembourg v Wales, International, S4C
Should be a confidence booster for Toshack’s men. Mind you, there are no easy games in international football anymore...

19:45 Northern Ireland v Georgia, International, BBC1 Northern Ireland, BBC Interactive
... especially if you're Northern Ireland

20:00 France v England, International, Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports HD1
The phoney war continues. Expect more criticism of Don Fabio for playing Rooney up front on his own four days after Sir Alex Ferguson did the same thing against Liverpool.

20:00 Scotland v Croatia, International, Sky Sports 2
Finally George gets to do his thing and he couldn't have asked for tougher opponents.

Thursday 27th March
00:20 River Plate v Universidad Catolica, Copa Libertadores, Setanta Sports(Wednesday night)
Catolica were away specialists last season in the Chilean League (for that is where they play). However the home side, with their pedigree, must be favourites. An away win would definitely liven up the group though. Game of the week.

19:45 Salisbury v Stevenage, Blue Square Premier, Setanta Sports 1
Boro can only consolidate their play-off place unless the leaders Aldershot press the “Fuck Season Up” button. Salisbury are ten points anything remotely interesting.
